Set in an underfunded and understaffed Oregon hospital, the satirical comedy follows the dedicated doctors and nurses who do their best to treat patients while maintaining their sanity.

Saint Denis Medical It is NBC's top new show of the broadcast season in the 18-49 demo, per seven-day viewing figures from the network. After its premiere on November 12, NBC announced that the episode saw viewership growth of 85% over 7 days. The second episode retained 82%, or approximately 3.3 million, of the L+SD premiere audience. NBC ordered five new episodes for the first season in June.
Along with showrunner Eric Ledgen and Justin Spitzer, Simon Heuer, Ruben Fleischer, Bridget Kyle and Vicki Lu also executive produce. It is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group and Spitzer Holding Company Saint Denis Medical.
