Everton manager David Moyes will “move the club forward”, said his predecessor Sean Dyche.
Moyes was appointed last Saturday for his second term, two days after Dyke's dismissal.
Dyche took charge in January 2023, helping Everton finish one place above the relegation zone in the Premier League in 2023-24 and 15th last season – 14 points clear of relegation despite an eight-point deduction for breaching financial regulations.
Everton currently ranks sixteenth in the standings, one point behind the bottom three.
In a statement, external Released through the League Managers' Association, Dyche said: “David is a manager I have great respect for and I believe he and his staff will help move the club forward again and build on the stable foundation we have implemented in the last two years.” .
“It's the right time to leave the club, and the team is in good shape.
“I did my part as a goalkeeper and I will forever be proud of that.”
Everton was punished twice last season for financial irregularities.
They were deducted 10 points – reduced to six on appeal – and then two Premier League points.
Daichi said he faced “some very difficult situations” during one of the “most difficult periods” in Everton's history.
Everton hosts Aston Villa in the league on Wednesday in Moyes' first match after returning.
He coached Everton from 2002 to 2013, finishing the season in the top eight nine times and reaching the FA Cup final.
