The quarter-final match between Deng and Trump was a high-scoring match, with seven of the nine frames containing breaks of 70 or more.
Ding, the 2011 Masters champion, started brightly with good 70s and 74s to take a 2-0 lead.
The left-hander Trump responded with a 75 to narrow the deficit, but when the two-time Masters winner missed a bizarre red in the corner in the fourth frame, Deng capitalized to clear a 72.
A break of 97 brought Trump back to within one frame at 3-2 and he fell to a half-century after a Ding error in the sixth frame, after which the world number nine failed to hit another shot in the match.
The 2019 world champion dominated from then on, with impressive breaks of 125, 62 and 75 to complete the victory.
