The 35-year-old will lead his team on Saturday in the divisional round against the Houston Texans.
Back-to-back Super Bowl winners are looking to make it a historic three in a row.
They begin their quest against their NFL rivals on Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium at 4:30 p.m. ET.
Kelce has had mixed fortunes this season, starting slowly before recovering as the season progressed.
But he has always been a strong leader in the Chiefs' locker room, for both young and veteran players.
During his pregame speech, he delivered a powerful message about what has kept him going throughout his career.
Kelce made it clear that the AFC West is focused on one thing, which is winning the Super Bowl for the third time in a row.
“Playoff football is the most important football you will ever play in your life,” he said.
“I cherish every theater guy. I really do.
“When you're in it, you're always trying to strive for greatness.
“To be greater than you are.
“You know obviously there is a historic run and something we can achieve that no other team has ever achieved.
“You know it feeds you.”
There was talk of Kelce retiring at the end of the season.
At 35 years old, he has accomplished more than most, including what could be his fourth Super Bowl ring.
