While Raducanu and Swiatek both won Grand Slam titles as teenagers, their careers have followed very different paths since then.

The British player, who became famous for winning the 2021 US Open title when she was 18 years old, initially suffered from the spotlight that fell on her after that.

The rigors of playing full-time on the WTA Tour have also taken their toll.

A series of injuries culminated in wrist and ankle surgeries in 2023, with Raducano falling out of the world's top 300 and still finding her way back.

On the other hand, Swiatek continued to thrive after winning the 2020 French Open.

Three more victories on clay at Roland Garros were supplemented by a US Open victory in 2022.

Swiatek has won all three of their previous professional meetings – and the gap between the pair remains wide.

Raducanu was unable to handle Swiatek's high-speed shots and athleticism, committing an array of fouls from the baseline – especially on the back side – as the pressure showed.

Dropping serve early was a fatal blow against a great competitor like Swiatek, who showed her ruthless nature by winning the 78th bagel of her career at tournament level.
