Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes has come up with a new nickname for fellow star Travis Kelce.
Kelce, 35, had an impressive performance in Saturday's 23-14 win over the Houston Texans in Arrowhead.
The tight end led the Chiefs with 117 yards and one touchdown on seven receptions, marking a season-high return.
The Kansas City Chiefs star did it while his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, watched from the stands.
Mahomes, 29, then sang Kelce's praises as the Chiefs now prepare to take on the Buffalo Bills in the conference championship on Monday in Arrowhead.
However, the star midfielder is not surprised because he knows that his teammate always performs well at this stage, which is why he calls him a “Playoff Trav”.
“Big players make big plays in big games. … That's Playoff Trav,” Mahomes said.
“He's a leader, man. This is what he lives for, and he plays in these moments, and he has a chance to make big plays.
“He goes out and does it, and it seems like he does it every playoff game.”
Kelce set another all-time NFL record after reaching the 100-yard mark against the Texans.
The NFL star has now recorded 100 or more receiving yards in nine postseason games over the course of his career, the most by any player in history.
The Westlake, Ohio, legend already has several records under his belt.
He – along with Mahomes – are key figures in the Chiefs' bid to win an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl.
