Donald Trump has demanded an apology from the bishop who delivered a sermon at the National Prayer Service on Tuesday.
President Marian called Budi bad in a lengthy tirade on his Truth Social website Wednesday morning.

Trump attacked Buddy, claiming that she was not persuasive or intelligent, and described the prayer as “boring and uninspiring.”
He added: “She brought her church into politics in a very inappropriate way.”
“Apart from her inappropriate remarks, the service was extremely boring and uninspiring.
“She's not very good at her job! She and her church owe the public an apology!”
The president's comments come after Vice President J.D. Vance's reaction was caught on camera.
He turned to his wife Usha and had a disapproving look on his face.
“JD's face at his wake-up sermon says it all,” one viewer said.
“I'm with JD,” another supporter said.
“JD Vance’s face at his wake-up sermon was so funny,” one fan posted on X.
“I don't think Mike Pence would have been that funny.”
In another shot, Vance's eyes were seen pointing towards Trump and First Lady Melania.
Viewers were curious to know what Trump was thinking at the time.
Trump, wearing a distinctive red tie, appeared stone-faced during the service.
Another said: “Trump had some good faces too.”
“Actually, they're all confused about this.”
Social media users joked that they would not be able to pursue a career in politics because of their facial reactions.
“My facial expressions are going to get me in trouble,” one X user admitted.
“In the name of our God, I ask you to have mercy on the people in our country who are feeling afraid right now,” Budd told the congregation.
“There are gay, lesbian, and transgender kids, and Democrats and Republicans Independent families, some of whom fear for their lives.”
Budi urged the president to have mercy on different groups.
Stone-faced Trump
After the service at Washington National Cathedral, Trump said he did not think it was good.
“They can do much better,” he told reporters upon his return to the White House.
Budd later explained why she gave the sermon.
She told CNN she wanted to remind people that they are “scared.”
“I wanted to respond as gently as I could, by reminding them of their humanity and their place in our broader society,” she said.
Budd also revealed that she was addressing Trump directly.
“I was talking to the president because I felt like he has this moment now where he feels responsible and empowered to do what he feels called to do,” she added.
“There is room for broader empathy.
“We do not need to paint with a wide cloth in the harshest terms some of the most vulnerable people in our community who are in fact our neighbors, our friends, our children, our friends, our children, etc.”
Trump wasted no time in reversing Biden's agenda.
He signed executive orders withdrawing the United States from the World Health Organization and the Paris Climate Agreement.
Trump withdrew from the climate treaty during his first term.
He also pardoned 1,500 people who were imprisoned during the January 6 Capitol protests.
Trump's decision to issue a wave of pardons sparked outrage among top Democrats, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
The president also signed an executive order delaying the shutdown of TikTok in the United States.
Trump said he was open to Tesla tycoon Elon Musk buying the app.

The complicated relationship between Donald Trump and Elon Musk
The relationship between former President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk started out rocky, but the pair have since reconciled, with Musk fully endorsing Trump and interviewing him on X Spaces on August 12.
In 2022, Elon Musk and Donald Trump publicly feuded over X, which was then still known as Twitter.
Trump called Musk a liar and a “bull artist” during a rally in Alaska.
“Elon will not buy Twitter,” Trump said at the time.
“You know, he said one day, ‘I never voted Republican.’ And I said, ‘I didn’t know that, you told me you voted for me, so it’s another artist, but he won’t buy it.
In response to Trump's criticism, the SpaceX founder responded with applause.
“I don't hate the guy, but it's time for Trump to hang up his hat and ride off into the sunset,” Musk said.
Musk also continued to buy X months later.
Malik X said he had previously voted Democratic since becoming a US citizen in 2002.
Musk initially supported Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to be the Republican Party's presidential nominee.
“A reasonable, centrist person would be better off as president in 2024,” Musk wrote on X in 2022.
“I was hoping that would happen [be] “This is the case for the Biden administration, but we are disappointed so far.”
His shift in political parties may be attributed to his deteriorating relationship with President Joe Biden, who did not invite Musk to the 2021 White House Electric Vehicle Summit.
Despite their past issues, Trump and Musk's relationship took a turn in March after they met at Mar-a-Lago.
Trump was also previously against electric cars but has since changed his stance.
“I support electric cars,” he said at a rally earlier this month.
“I have to do it, because Elon strongly supported me. So, I have no other choice.”
Following the assassination attempt at Trump's rally in July, Musk announced his support for the former president.
“I fully support President Trump and hope for his speedy recovery,” Musk wrote on X after the shooting.
During a recent press conference, Trump praised Musk.
“I respect Elon a lot,” he said. “And he respects me.”
“Elon, more than almost anyone I know, loves this country. He loves the concept of this country, but like me, he says this country is in big trouble, it's in huge danger.”
Musk has been photographed at events at Mar-a-Lago and the UFC, and is a friend of Trump.
Trump chose Musk to lead the Government Efficiency Administration, a task force aimed at reducing bureaucracy.
