Patrick Mahomes Randy's mom gave a devastating update on his grandfather being unwell.
The Kansas City Chiefs star is preparing for this weekend's AFC Championship game.
They take on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night at 6:30 PM ET at Arrowhead Stadium.
But just two days ago, Randy made a heartbreaking announcement about her father, named Randy.
She revealed on Instagram that he was transferred to Hospice.
“My father is in a dorm and I am lost for words,” she said.
The heartbreaking news is sure to be tough on Mahomes, with only 48 hours until his big game.
He's looking to win to head to the Super Bowl on February 9 in search of a historic save.
Randi has been very vocal on social media about her father's health.
However, she never revealed the issues he suffers from.
The new announcement also comes just one week after the birth of Mahomes' third child.
The 29-year-old and his wife Brittany named their daughter Golden Ray.
It is unknown if Mahomes will miss Friday's practice due to the news about his grandfather.
His status against the Bills is also unclear.
Leaders are scheduled to hold a news conference on Friday afternoon.
Randy asked fans for prayers for her father over the Christmas period.
