David Jaskel, who holds the record as the youngest player in Manchester United ever, died at the age of 84.
Former goalkeeper Jaskel appeared for the first time with United at the age of 16 and 19 days against Manchester City in October 1956.
He spent 11 seasons in United after his promotion to the first team by Matt Busby and won two league titles with the club.
Gaskell also played in the 1963 FA Cup final, which helped United to beat Leicester City in Wembley.
He read a statement issued by his family on the club's website: “Dave Jaskel leaves behind him not just a wonderful sporting legacy, but a permanent example of kindness, dedication and humility. He will lack him so much but all those who got his privilege remember his knowledge.”
