Rapper DJ Unk, famous for the song Walk It Out, has died at the age of 42, his wife has revealed in a heartbreaking tribute.
She shared the devastating Chirkita Long Platt news on Facebook, sparking a wave of other tributes from industry colleagues.

“Please respect me and my wife,” she wrote family. I just lost my husband and my kids just lost their father. Our lives will never be the same. Love you forever Anthony.”
DJ Unk is best known for “Walk It Out”, which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as 2 Step which reached #4.
The Atlanta star, whose full name is Anthony Leonard Blatt, dealt with unspecified health issues in 2009, according to TMZ.
However, the cause of his death is currently unknown.
Unk signed to Big Oomp Records in 2000 and became a major figure in “snap music”, a subgenre of crunk that emerged in the mid-2000s.
In a statement, the brand's founder, Corey “Big Oomp” Robinson, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution: “DJ Unk was not only a legendary DJ, rapper and producer, but he was a true cornerstone of our brand, and the mark he left globally will be cherished forever.” .
