President Trump gave the green light to deliver thousands of bombs weighing 2000 pounds to Israel, according to a report.

Israeli officials told AXios that up to 1,800 MK-84 bomb will be shipped to the Jewish state in the coming days-which reflects the control of the Biden administration on the explosive supplies.

According to what was reported, the Israeli government was notified by the Pentagon regarding their release on Friday, that is, the day before Hamas released four hostages as part of the ceasefire agreement.

Huge bombs have been kept in the warehouses since May, when Biden decided to postpone its delivery for fear that Israel would cause great civilian destruction by unleashing weapons in the densely populated areas of Gaza.

The United States has previously handed over more than 10,000 bombs – known as “supernatural” because it could reach the depths of the earth before it exploded – to Israel during the war.

This stopping caused great tension in the United States' relationship with Israel.

This news comes just days after the outgoing Israeli ambassador to the United States, Mike Herzog, revealed that he would expect Trump to cancel the ban during his first few days in his position.

“We believe that, at the beginning of his term, Trump will release the ammunition that the Biden administration has not yet launched,” Herzog said.

The White House did not immediately respond to the newspaper's request to comment.
