Frenchman Victor Wembanyama was unable to prevent the San Antonio Spurs from losing 136-98 to the Indiana Pacers in Paris.

Coming off a 140-110 loss to the Spurs on Thursday in the first two games of the NBA regular season in the French capital, the Pacers cruised to a comfortable win at AccorArena.

Tyrese Haliburton scored 28 points and Pascal Siakam 23 for the Pacers.

Wembanyama, who played for Paris-based Metropolitans 92 before being selected by the Spurs as the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NBA draft, had 20 points and 12 rebounds. His teammate Harrison Barnes scored 25 points.

This is the fourth year that the NBA has held regular season games in Paris.

“It's been really fun to be here,” Haliburton said. “It helps develop the game.

“We just wanted to leave town in good shape. It was a really good show from us tonight and [we] “I just want to keep this momentum going.”

Wembanyama, who was part of France's squad that lost to the United States in the Olympic final last summer, scored 30 points in Thursday's win over the Pacers.

The Pacers are fifth in the Eastern Conference and the Spurs are fourth in the West.
