The European Producers Club (EPC) has announced the departure of Executive Director Alexandra Liberts long ago, as the authority praised its 23 -year -old work period in defending the rights of independent producers throughout Europe.
This organization was established in 1983 in the framework of the Gatz negotiations, and it has moved from force to force under the leadership of Libre, and currently represents 185 prominent products throughout the continent.
“The deep effect of Alexandra on the European audiovisual scene cannot be exaggerated,” says EPC, Darius Gaponsky.
“Its strategic vision and her tireless advocacy not only enhanced the position of independent producers, but also reshaped how our industry dealt with the decisive challenges mainly. Through initiatives such as best practices for independent producers, the gender equality charter, and the green charter, our industry has pushed a greater sustainability and comprehensiveness .
Since he assumed the position of EPC president in 2002, thanks to the defense of the intellectual property rights of the producers, the promotion of cross -border cooperation, and the establishment of EPC as a clear voice in the European Commission.
The Gender Equality Charter sets standards at the level of industry for equality and representation, while the Green Charter puts EPC at the forefront of sustainable production practices.
After the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Liberts also coordinated vital support for Ukrainian visual audiovisual fields, mobilizing resources and creating communication opportunities during unprecedented challenges.
“Alexandra leaves an exceptional legacy of innovation and advocacy,” Gaponsky added. “Her work on the gender charter has created concrete paths for women in our industry, while the Green Charter has established a framework for environmental responsibility that will affect production for years to come. These initiatives reflect their commitment to purposeful and permanent change.
In appreciation of her contributions, Libery obtained the Medal of Faris Arts and Literature by the French government in 2013.
In addition to its leadership at EPC, she also left her mark as a producer, where Mare Nostrum Productions and Halley Production founded and got international fame for her work.

Libert will announce its next step at the Berlin Film Festival in February, while the EPC board will soon announce the caliphate plan in the coming weeks.
