Indiana, who was pardoned by President Trump for his role on January 6, 2021, was killed by Capitol by a deputy during the traffic stopping on Sunday afternoon, according to the authorities.
The state police said Matthew Huttel was killed in a quarrel with an honorable deputy in Jasper Province, who pulled him on the Indiana 14 road near the Bulaski County line and tried to arrest the 42 -year -old.
The state police said in a press statement: “A quarrel took place between the suspect and the officer, which led to the officer's release of his weapon and the injury of the suspect.”
He claims that the hotlin had a weapon on it inside the car, according to the authorities.
The death suspect, who was from the city of Hobart, was given an amnesty for the president last week who wiped a misdemeanor charge of his involvement in the Capitol riot.
He was sentenced to six months in prison behind bars in 2023 after he admitted that he was guilty of entering a restricted building. He was released from prison in July 2024, according to the Washington Post.
Among the about 1500 defendants were January 6 who received the compassion from Trump.
In 2021, Hotel traveled with his uncle to attend Trump's speech to supporters leading to chaos in Capitol, where he was inside the building for 16 minutes and recorded on the video.
The defense lawyer said at the time at the court file that he went to the gathering because he believed that it would be a historic moment and he had nothing to do after leaving the prison because of the crime of leadership.
“He is not a real believer for any political reason,” defense lawyer Andrew Hemer insisted at that time.
Indiana State Police has not revealed more information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including the cause of the arrest of Hotel. The agency takes the initiative in the investigation.
Sherif Patrick Williamson said in a statement that the deputy who shot and killed his Goethe was placed on a paid administrative leave, which is a protocol of an honorable office.
“Our condolences go out to the family of the deceased because any loss in life is a shock to those who were close to Mr. Hotel,” he said.
