German police arrested 59 “rioters” before the Champions League match on Wednesday between Stuttgart and Paris Saint Ferman.

Pundesliga Club Stuttgart Host Ligue 1 PSG with both teams are still competing for a place in the form of the renovated league.

Police said they had “targeted tests” for supporters at train stations and hotels after discovering that there were planned clashes between fans' groups.

The orders of the ban on 47 Stuttgart fans were also issued, which prevents them from attending the game or entering the city center.

“Anyone who travels to Stuttgart to commit violent crimes from the field will get out of the game,” said Carsten Hofler, Vice President of Stuttgart Police.

The 59th French people will be held until Thursday, in order to prevent any risk of clashes on the night of the game.

“Through extensive investigations and close cooperation with the Paris Police, French rioters were found at the main train station and in various hotels in Stuttgart,” Stuttgart Police added in a statement.

“Among other things, hiding materials were discovered. To prevent dangerous riots until the end of the Champions League match on Wednesday, rioters were held in Paris until Thursday morning, after consulting the judge.”

Both Stuttgart and PSG have 10 points heading to the final match of the group.

Winning over either side will guarantee them a place in the separation matches, while the defeat may lead to the elimination.
