Everton, Argentine midfielder Carlos Caraz, fell on loan from Flamingo for the rest of the season.
Flamengo said the loan includes a “mandatory purchase condition”, according to the parties that meet some unspecified conditions, but Everton says there is a “option” to buy at the end of the season.
The 22 -year -old played in the Premier League for Southampton and started the season with the saints, before joining the Brazilian giants for a club fee of 16 million pounds.
But Al -Karaz, who has also received a talisman in Juventus, is rapidly returning to England, the first signature of the owners of Toffees The Friedkin Group and director David moyes.
Alcaraz told the club's website: “I am ready for any challenge with this beautiful club, and for this reason I came and accepted the offer to continue the fighting for my dreams.”
“I want to tell the masses that whenever I wear this shirt, I will do my best, I will give everything I must take to the top, where they deserve to be.”
The transfer was officially announced by Everton at 00:15 GMT after sending a deals paper to the Premier League, allowing the extension to 01:00 GMT to complete the deal.
A source close to the BBC Sport told the delay due to the discussions taking place in relation to a paragraph in the player's contract.
Alcaraz is a welcome addition to Everton midfield after a knee injury at the end of the season that Belgium International has suffered from Orel Mangala.
“Carlos has experience in the Premier League, and he is still young and we think he can bring some energy to the team that will help us from now until the end of the season,” Moyes added.
