Loyalty still matters Charles Barclay.

Barclay said that he will not join the NBC or Amazon basketball starting from the 2025-26 season, instead, limits himself on TNT and/or ESPN/ABC.

ESPN has the rights to license in the famous TNT show “within the American Professional League” starting next season and the offer will be produced by TNT.

Barclay announced in August that he will stay with TNT during his 10 -year contract, which he signed in 2022.

“I inform NBC that I will not accept their offer. Barclay said on” The Steam Room PodCast “alongside Erney Johnson:” I will cancel my future meetings with Amazon. ”

“I would like to thank NBC, especially Mark Lazarus and Greg Hughes, for submitting a contract for me. I would like to thank the players in Amazon, will be amazing. But my heart will always be in Turner Sports.”

With the loss of TNT on the media rights package with the American Professional League, many wondered about what the future hides to Barkly and his colleague “within the American Professional League” in Johnson, Shakil Unile and Kenny Smith.

Barclay previously said that he would retire after the 2024-25 season before he is on the face around the face and reach TNT.

Other networks have tried to collide Barclay because it can be said that he is the most popular analyst in all sports, but it is preferable to stay with those who know them.

He now decides whether to stick strictly to TNT, although there are no rights in the American Professional League, or work to issue ESPN from “within the American Professional League”.

Barclay said in December that he will not work in both networks, but it seems that he left this door a little bit while talking to Johnson.

“The only thing I am waiting for now, between TNT and ESPN, I met ESPN, these men were amazing, I would like to thank you, comrades for spending time and only met with TNT People. Barclay, 61, said on podcast:” I hope this thing comes Together and I can stay with TNT and ESPN, but, as I said, everything will be dictated to my work burden. ” This is my only decision to go forward: how much will I work.

“But I just want to thank everyone who was part of this thing TNT, man. O companions amazing and I love you to death and I will not feel comfortable leaving here because 25 years are a long time.”

Barclay said he would tend to his support group, which includes high -level media members to help him make this decision.

Barclay said: “I have a good group of friends: Mike Wilbon, Tony Cornehizer, Bryant Gomebel, Ahmed Rashad. I have always asked their opinion about what I should do in terms of television.” These men were great friends and mentors. I will sit with these men, “That's what TNT offers me, Espn as much as the burden of work.”
