Two hours after Donald Trump announced that the United States will “take over” the Gaza Strip and “possess it”, those in the White House press conference are still amazed in the plan.
“One of the most brave proposals made by an American president in recent years,” said Kitlan Collins, head of the White House correspondent at CNN. She opens her exhibition at 9 pm.
“The United States will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will work with it as well. We will possess it and be responsible for dismantling all the uninterrupted bombs and other weapons on the site. The level of the site, the disposal of destroyed buildings. The level, creates development Economy will provide unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the region's members.
Earlier in the day, Trump was also proposing the removal of the Palestinians in Gaza.
As much as Trump's plan may seem like urban activation and ridiculous neighborhoods in the 1960s, it also looks like another effort in building the nation, which he previously criticized. Moreover, Hamas is still controlling Gaza, and still carries the hostages amid a ceasefire with Israel.
At the press conference, NBC News' Kelly O'Donnell told Trump, “You are talking tonight about the United States with sovereign areas. What is the authority that allows you to do this. Do you talk about a permanent occupation there, redevelopment?”
“I see a long -term royal position and I see a great stability for this part of the Middle East and perhaps to the entire Middle East. … Everyone I talked about loves the idea of the United States has this land.”
When asked about the use of American forces, Trump said, “We will do what is necessary.”
Colines Trump asked about the place where Ghazan should go, whether they should return after its rebuilding, and if not, whoever imagines that he lives there.
“I imagine that world people live there. The people of the world. I think you will make it in an incredible international place. I think the capabilities in the Gaza Strip are incredible.” He said that the Palestinians will live there as well, while they also indicate that Jordan and Egypt will take them to resettle.
“They have tried the other, and they tried it for decades, contracts and decades.
In its presentation, Collins said, “The saying that the president's comments are explosive will be low,” noting that Egypt and Jordan have already said that they will not take the refined Palestinians.
