The US Open Championship will become the first specialty in providing players on the Golf Lev tour by exempting the tournament based on the classifications.

The United States Golf Association (USGA) said that the best player from the Saudi -backed round, which does not exempt in another way, will directly win a place in the field to open the United States.

In addition, the 10 best players in the LIV GOLF ranking will also be exempt on April 7 of the local qualifiers and instead goes directly to the last qualifiers from 36 hole.

The 2025 US Open Championship will be held at Ocont Rural Club in Pennsylvania from 12 to 15 June.

“Every fan of a golf in the world is eager to see the world's greatest players competing for the largest golf stages in The Majors,” said Scott O'Neill, CEO of LIV GOLF.

“Lev Golf is committed to working alongside government golf bodies to raise this sport in all corners of the world.”

“Linking with our historical approach, we are constantly evaluating talent levels in professional tours and in amateur events, which prompted us to add a new exemption category,” added John Bodenhmer, chief USGA officer.

So far, none of the other specialties provided a direct exemption linked to the Golf Lev points.
