President Donald Trump said he would nullify Joe Biden's security permit, which includes access to daily intelligence.
In a post on the social truth platform, the American leader wrote:
“There is no need for an atmosphere of Biden to continue receiving access to the classified information.” He added, by referring to his trained television program Catch: Joe, you have been separated. “
BBC News reports that Trump was acting in retaliation from Biden, with the same procedure when he arrived in the white after the 2020 elections, when Biden canceled Trump's arrival. This was the first time that the head of sitting has made such a step to refuse the arrival of the former president. It was supposed to be seen as a compliment that former leaders were aware of local and international topics.
BBC adds that Trump has already canceled a security permit for more than four former intelligence officials who accused them of interfering in the 2020 elections that saw Biden's victory for him to reach the White House.
Trump wrote that Biden “put this precedent in 2021, when the IC intelligence community ordered the forty -fifth president of the United States (I!) To reach details of national security, a compliment provided to former presidents.”
He added that Biden “cannot be trusted with sensitive information.” Biden said in the past that Trump could not be trusted because of his “wrong behavior.”
Biden has mostly kept out of the spotlight since he moved away from the presidential elections in 2024, to be replaced by his vice president, Kamala Harris, on the ticket.
