Sir Kerr Starmer warned last night that the world faces “a moment once in the generation” for security, as the future of NATO decreased by skepticism.
The Prime Minister has pledged to be a bridge between the United States and Europe to try to mediate in a deal to secure the future of Ukraine and confront Russia.

France will hold the emergency summit early on Monday, as Sir Kiir will join European leaders and NATO Secretary -General for the defense of the crisis.
This comes after Volodymyr Zelensky called for the creation of a new European army to defeat Russia Putin, as he warned that they could no longer rely on the United States for Protection.
Meanwhile, Secretary of State David Lami said that Britain may need to raise its defensive spending at the levels of the Cold War in this new era of aggression.
Sir Kiir said: “This is a moment once in the generation of our national security, as we deal with the reality of the world today and the threat we face from Russia,” Sir Kiir said.
“It is clear that Europe must play a greater role in NATO while we work with the United States to secure the future of Ukraine and face the threat we face from Russia.
“The UK will ensure that the United States and Europe preserved together. We cannot allow any coalition sections to distract them from the external enemies we face.”
Donald Trump amazed the world when the phone called Vladimir Putin to the mediator in Ukraine. Europe and Ukraine – who have not been warned of the call – have fallen into a crisis and raised questions about the future of NATO.
Sir Kerr plans to visit President Trump next week to hold decisive talks in Washington. It is believed that Britain can collect the United States and Europe to ensure that the sovereignty of Ukraine is secured.
The Prime Minister will transfer messages from the France summit to Mr. Trump.
He will then return to another summit with Europe and Mr. Zellinski, where he will transfer President Trump's response.
In a blatant speech, Mr. Zellinski said that “the old days” from Europe depends on the American military power to protect them “ended.”
Ukrainian leader's comments, in front of a stunning audience of world leaders in Munich, accumulated more pressure on Britain and Europe to intensify military spending.
Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Mr. Zellinski said that Europe entered a new chapter in history and should bear the responsibility of its military defense.
He said: “While we are fighting this war and laying the foundation for peace and security, we must build the armed forces in Europe so that the future of Europe only depends on the Europeans, and decisions related to Europe are taken in Europe.”
The new American administration told Europe that it should start paying the price of its defense after decades of investment.
The UK spends only 2.3 percent of GDP on defense and will “determine a path” to hit 2.5 percent over the next few months.
Government sources said that the plan was 2.5 percent by 2032.
But the higher figures urge the Prime Minister to spend more.
We need to deter Putin in the way we failed to deter Hitler.

Mr. Lammy told the conference: “We are all ministers abroad, we had detailed conversations with our treasury sections,” Mr. Lammy told the conference.
“One of the letters that we are serious is whether Ukraine fails, the costs will be much more.”
He pointed out that the two countries spend about seven percent of the GDP of defense in the Cold War. Former British army president, Lord Richard Danat, said defensive spending should exceed three percent or higher.
He warned that Prime Minister Sir Kiir would be transferred to the “History Fund” unless he finds more money for our army.
He added: “We need to deter Putin in the way we failed to deter Hitler.”
“For a long time, we relied on America to protect us while some countries contribute to nothing,” said former Tory Grant SAPPS.
But the answer was not in the euro army, but in Europe it spends more to protect its borders through NATO. “If we do not wake up now, we will sleep in a disaster,” he added.
