“It is clear that Europe must play a greater role in NATO while we work with the United States to secure the future of Ukraine and face the threat we face from Russia.
“The UK will ensure that the United States and Europe preserved together. We cannot allow any coalition sections to distract them from the external enemies we face.”
Zelinski said it was fair for America to speak to Russia, but any peace deal related to Ukraine had to obtain the inputs of Ukraine.
He said that knowing the direct invitation between Trump and Putin “was not fun for me.”

He said: “Many leaders have spoken of Europe and need its army, an army from Europe and I think it is time.
“The armed forces must be created in Europe.
“Without the Ukraine army, the Europe army will not be sufficient to stop Russia.
“Only our army in Europe has a real and modern battle experience, but our army alone is not enough either.
“We need what you can provide weapons, training, penalties, financing, political pressure and unity.”
The Ukrainian president said that Europe should look forward to creating such a separate army from NATO in the case, “America may say no to Europe about the issues it threatens.”
He added that after three years of fighting, Ukraine was able to build the foundations of a European army and should now be disposed of.

“While we are fighting this war and laying the foundation for peace and security, we must build the armed forces in Europe so that the future of Europe depends on the Europeans only on Europe in Europe,” he said.
“Europe has everything it requires, but it needs to be gathering.
