Igan Bernal, a tour of Tor de France, broke the bone of collarbone during the closing stages of the race in Spain.

Inos Greenaders said their 28-year-old contestant broke his demarcation in his pilot crash while competing in the inner Claska Jin-Parisu, which Michel Qutukovsky won from Poland.

“I was really powerful and it is clear that I was sad because I crashed, but at the same time I felt during the race he gave me a lot of confidence and motivation to continue hard work – the season [ahead] Bernal said after his release from the hospital.

“I felt very satisfied in the three races I did, so I must continue to work and I hope to come back soon.”

The accident comes 11 days after Bernal won the National Time Court of Time Championship in his homeland, and is his first victory in the event since his life threatening three years ago.

Bernal, who won the LE tour in 2019, was fighting for this life after a training bike of a time trial bike near Colombia, the capital, Bogota, in January 2022. He needed spine surgery and others.

Ineos Grenadiers did not put a time frame on Bernal's return.
