The opening race will be renamed at the Shallitham Festival next month in honor of the knight Michael Osoulivan.
The Irish contestant Osoulvan, 24, died on February 16, 10 days after his fall in Thoris.
Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle – the first festival race on March 11 – will now be named Michael Occan Supreme Novices.
O carellivan fired at the lead when winning the race on Marine Nationalism two years ago, and he was leading the knight on the opening day in 2023 after following him in Farid Winter escape on Jazzy Matty.
“We are very proud of Michael's amazing talent and the legacy he left in the race world,” said the Osolivan family.
“The rename of the race, which represents the height of his career, is an appropriate honor for his skills, dedication and passion for sports.
“As a family, we have always liked Michael's achievements inside and outside the path, and this means a lot for us to see his talent recognized this way. The flow of the gene was a testimony of the influence that had a lot of lives.
“We would like to thank Jockey Club and Sky Bet to give us this opportunity to honor Michael's memory and celebrate his wonderful professional life.”
Osolivan was riding in Thoris to coach Gerard Olieri when he was one of three holidays in the final fence at Harden Hasmeh two miles.
He was treated in Tiberry Massar Province before being transferred by air aid to the hospital, but he did not recover from his injuries.
The first O'Soulivan victory came under CORK rules in 2018 and became a professional in September 2022 before becoming the Irish police champion the policewoman the following year.
95 winners in Ireland and Britain rode during his career, including 14 in Ireland and two in Britain this season.
“When you read the heartfelt greeting that he paid for him during these past days, you can see how much he appreciates the racing community on both sides of the Irish Sea and beyond,” said Jay Lavender, CEO of Shellham.
“Considering that in Schlentham, Michael enjoyed his largest success as a contestant again on Tuesday afternoon in 2023, we felt that it was right to honor Michael in this way.”
