Bojan Krkic has gone through many heights and declines of football – that it is big as a big thing to a serious injury that hindered his hopes of hitting the heights that he might have been able to.
But the former Barcelona Wonderkid is now all this experience to help direct the next generation of stars, and prepare them for both good and bad times.
He returned to the club that started his career, where he was working in the role of football coordinator in Barcelona, ββwith his primary focus on monitoring young people in the famous La Masia in the club – the youth academy that he came to.
I told Bojan BBC Radio 5 Live's Euro League: “I am very young at the age of 34, I am still able to play, but the decisions that you must make in life sometimes must decide, and I decided to stop playing and start a new life in football.
“At the present time, there are many things to do in this big club, coordinate all young players who come to train with us, evaluate these young players and know when they can be ready to train with us, and when they have some cases of struggle – with wounds or anything else – to chat with them.”
In many ways, Bojan considers the perfect person as ambitious football players to obtain guidance from.
It was once called “the upcoming Lionel Messi”, and while it was honored to compare to one of the greatest football, it is also a sign that also carries a large weight of expectations.
After scoring 900 goals for the Barcelona youth teams, he appeared for the first time in the first team at the age of 17 and 19 days, and broke the record Messi's record.
He continued to score 12 impressive goals in 48 games in his first season in top football, with these comparisons with the Argentine star.
But for Bogan, he did not want to be the next Messi – Bogan only.
“I knew which player I was,” he added.
“I knew the good things I had, and the things I had to work on. I knew that I was not Messi or anyone, I was Bogan.
“But when people demand that you be at this level, it is difficult to coexist with this expectation.
“It was difficult to find a way.”
