Some new changes include first -class mail adjustments, restructuring of the track and beam mail, and switch from the three -numbers regional symbols to the five -digit additional symbols.

Most of the first -class mail recipients will keep his current standards, as 11 % of the first -class mail suffers from a little later delivery times.

Usps claimed that these changes will provide the company with an estimated $ 36 billion in savings during the next decade.

“The postal service was historically burdened through the normative service regulations and exhausting work rules that have not been appropriately modified to calculate the changes of size and mail, which imposes costly and ineffective operations,” Louis Digoy, Director of the Post Office said in a statement.

For decades – more specificly during the past three years – Congress has been actively resisted operational solutions and significant change.

“By implementing new standards and operational initiatives that are compatible with them, we will be better able to achieve the goals of our updating plans, create highly performance and financially sustainable regulation, which is necessary to achieve legal policies and goals that have been set for postal service under the law.”

The agency said it “has already reduced $ 1.8 billion of annual transportation costs by eliminating excess networks and rationalizing the use of air and surface options.”

“A decrease of 45 million working hours, or $ 2.3 billion annually, by improving plant productivity and eliminating unnecessary facilities,” said USPS.

The new changes will be launched in two phases starting from April 1.

According to USPS, restructuring may mean that some customers who usually get packages in two days will get the package in three days instead.

The latest USPS changes track a major violent reaction from the audience with regard to the two -week delay in receiving packages.

Packages were stuck in a distribution center in Jackson, Missouri, for weeks, even after some of them paid for the accelerated delivery.

“I don't know when it will be delivered. Robin Smith, a resident of Missouri, told Missouri's residents to” Missouri Smith “who did not say $ 35 to deliver him in three days, not recovered.”

Smith paid for a three -day charging to send the Valentine's Day package to its grandchildren on February 3, but no gifts were delivered when Valentine's Day came.

“Something is, why did you continue to take the packages if you got a full range of packages that have not yet come out?”
