The sky is the maximum Travis Hunter confidence heading to the NFL 2025 draft.
Hunter, 21, told the US Football Association reporters on Thursday that he believed that a two -way football player is more difficult than Shuhai Utani is doing in MLB.
Maybe I am, what do I do in football? [is harder] “It is a lot on your body,” said Hunter. “Ohtani, he is a great player, but you have to do a lot in football.”
Similar to MLB, being a two -way player in the US Football Association is rare, as there is no full -time player who has achieved this situation since the fifties.
Ohtani won for the first time MLB in two directions during his rising season in 2018, and he has since won three MVP awards while he finished fourth in the US Young Award in 2022.
Hunter is famous for his success in playing both sides of the ball, and he won the Heisman Trophy 2024 award while playing the wide recipient and corner in Colorado.
Although not participating in any gathering training, Hunter conducted a media session with the reporters, as he made it clear that he hoped to continue to be a two -way player in the US Football Association.
“I want to play both,” Hunter told reporters on Thursday. “This is not my job to find out. I would like to play both sides of the ball. If they allow me to play the side of the ball, I will play both sides.”
Hunter stressed that he does not face any physical fatigue from being a two -way player, indicating that his preparation is a great factor in his health.
“This does not happen much because I put my body a lot during the week,” Hunter told reporters. “I know how to treat my body and know what my body should be ready.”
Dion Sanders, who trained Hunter in Jackson State and Kulorado, told the American Football Association that they should not formulate the 21 -year -old if they did not plan to use it on both sides of the ball.
“He will do it, or they should not formulate it,” Sanders said when asked about the future of Hunter in the US Football Association in an interview with Rich Eisen in December. “Don't do it. I will make sure of it. Don't formulate it if you don't give him the opportunity to play on both sides of the ball.
“Now, you can be creative. He doesn't have to do what we did with him here and play every shot.”
