The national hunting chase was permanently named at the Shallitham Festival for this month in honor of the royal princess.
The race, the oldest competition at the meeting, will be known as The Princess Royal National Chase, and on the opening day of the four -day meeting on Tuesday 11 March.
He ran more than three miles and sixthdlong, was previously limited to amateur cyclists, but this year ascending, it would be open to professional knights and organized as a chase of novice disabled.
The race was held in a number of places until it became part of the two -day new National Hunting Festival in Shallitham in 1911, where it was previously operated in Shallitham in 1904 and 1905.
Princess Ann is a brilliant horse lady and a frequent visitor to the Shallitham race.
She won the individual gold in the 1971 European Event Championship and competed in the 1976 Olympics in Montreal.
