Jake Wittman will not be trained by his father Jeff, former world champion, which has an area of ββ1500 meters.
The father participated in the experience together when Jake won gold on the path in 2022 and Jeff commented on the race as the stadium broadcaster.
Scott Jake had long periods with an injury since then, including the loss of the 2023 season and the Paris 2024 Olympics.
“The point came in my career, as we need both physically and mentally to go to our separate methods,” said Jake Wettman at Instagram.
“By doing this, we guarantee that there is a lot to come in the future, not as a coach/athlete but as a father/son, away from the intensity of training and race.
“The coaches do not get the gratitude they deserve at best, but even less when he started driving into races all over the country as a child, to fly around the world, all in seeking to help me live in my dream.
“So this means, thank you, Dad, for all the years of time and money, self -denial.
“I hope we can look back on what we have achieved with a tremendous pride.”
