British No. Two Cameron Nuri disturbed 23 classified 23 Jerry Lika to reach the third round of Indian Wales.

Norrie lost the first group in California, but the number 77 globally recovered to overcome the Czech Republic 3-6 6-4 7-5.

The 29-year-old will now face the American Tommy Paul after the tenth seed overcame the Teristan Bouer 6-3 6-1.

Nuri, who defeated Luka Nardi in the first round, won the biggest title of his career in Indian Wales in 2021 and reached at least the quarter -finals of the militant court championship in the past three years.

Meanwhile, Alexander Zverev, the second seed, was expelled on Friday, despite winning the first group against Talon Grizecor from the Netherlands.

The 43rd No. 43 resisted 4-6 7-6 (7-5) 7-6 (7-4) and is presented against the twenty-ninth seeds in the third round, Giovanni Mbisi Perkard from France.

ZVREV has now failed to exceed the quarter -finals in all the four championships since he lost to Janic Sirin in the first place in the Australian Open final.

In response to a question about whether the opportunity to replace the sinner – who is currently spending a ban for three months – was as he was in his mind in the world, Zverev said: “He was at first. Now that is less, because I play terrible.

“I must find my game before I think about it because to become the first number in the world, you must win the championships, and I do not exceed the first or second round at the present time.”
