Huddersfield Town dismissed Michael Daf coach after his fourth defeat in five league matches.

A loss on Saturday 1-0 in Bristol Rovers proved that the final match in responsibility, as Teres came out of the qualifying places with 10 games of the season.

Since then, the Yorkshire team has stumbled only three and lost seven of the last 11 league games – which resulted in the dismissal of Daf on Sunday morning.

Huddersfield, the director of the academy, confirmed that former player John Wathington will take over the club's remaining matches.

In his temporary appointment, Worthington said: “Huddersfield is my club, and I am honored to train the first team from now until the end of the season.

“We have 10 important matches to assume with many points that we play and every possibility is still open to us.”

This former captain will be the player of Captain Wathington, who is responsible for the city, after she previously worked as a temporary president in early 2024 during a talisman in which Terriers won two games and lost in the wake of Darren Moore's dismissal.

Huddersfield fell to the first league last season after five consecutive seasons in the tournament in the wake of two years in the Premier League.

They are currently sitting in seventh place in the first league, and two points outside the qualifying positions.
