US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and technology businessman Elon Musk found themselves in a dispute with Poland's Secretary of State for the use of satellite internet service in Musk in Ukraine. Musk stated on X that if he had to abolish the system, the entire front line in Ukraine will collapse.
In response, Radoslaw Sikorski indicated that Poland is funding the service process in Ukraine, warning that any threat to close it will force them to search for alternative service providers.
Rubio rejected Sikorsky's claims, indicating that he should be more grateful, while Musk indicated that he was a “young man”. This exchange appears to have prompted Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk to invite the allies to show respect for their less powerful partners instead of vanity.
Starlink is part of Spacex efforts to provide a high -speed internet for areas that are services and have been widely used by the Ukrainian army. The conflict began when Musk claimed that Starlink was working in the name of “back of the army” and warned that
“Their front line will collapse if it is turned off.”
Soon Sikorski faced, highlighting that Poland is responsible for financing the service, saying,
“The links are paid by the ministry, at a cost of about one million dollars a year.”
He also emphasized the moral concerns of threatening the victim of aggression and indicated that if Spacex will become unreliable, Poland will need to explore other options.
