Enzo Marisca, Chelsea director, says Cole Palmer is likely to miss the World Cup qualifying matches in England against Albania and Latvia due to a muscle injury.

Palmer picked up the training and was excluded from Sunday's defeat 1-0 in Arsenal.

This was the first time that the blues have played without him since April last year, when they were beaten 5-0 by Gunners.

Marcelsa believes that Palmer is unlikely to join the Thomas Tuchille team.

“I don't think [he will be fit for England] In order to be honest, “Marisca said after the defeat of Arsenal.

“He was injured by yesterday's session. It is a muscle problem …

“It needs to be examined and the survey is planned on Monday morning.”

In addition to Parker, Chelsea was also without Nicholas Jackson striker and suite Noni Madoyk on Sunday – and Marisca spent the absent triple.

“It is a big difference. The three players who have the largest number of goals for us [are] Marcelsa said:

“Two of them have already come out in the long run. It is natural that we can a little struggle.

“I think to this day that we bear the second or third in the league. We are well done with other players, but we can do better with the players who were injured at this moment.”

Palmer was his hand in 20 Chelsea 53 goals in the league this season (14 goals, six assists), but he did not score in the past seven Premier League matches – Marcelca believes that the rest may help him discover his best shape.

“We do not want the player to be injured, but in the case of Cole at this moment, we may give him some physical and mental comfort that may be good.”

England will play the role of Albania on Friday in its first match under the leadership of the new Tuchille coach during the start of its World Cup qualifying campaign in 2026, before playing Latvia in Wembley.
