Duji Friedman, Sports Director at Crystal Palace, will leave the club this summer and consider holding a position in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Friedman, 50, has been with Palace as a player and a manager and in his current role since 2017.
He was responsible for employing players, including Michael Oliz, Ibishi Eas, Mark Joy, Adam, Erton, Din Henderson.
Sources close to the situation claim the position of Friedman has been offered to the position of president of sports with Dirieah, who owns the derby, which plays in the second Saudi section.
This role is believed to be a multi -disciplinary role, as it will form the performance philosophy of seven other sports under the umbrella of Diriyah.
There is no confirmation if Friedman has officially accepted the situation.
The former Scotland striker was aware of the interest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for at least a month, but this step accelerated during the past week. It is expected that it will continue on a consultant basis with a palace during the summer before leaving it.
He twice had conversations with Manchester United and held talks with Newcastle last season.
IAIN MOODY, who works closely with the Palace's recruitment process on a consultant basis, will take over a more prominent position in the club, but with no Stain will not replace Freedman directly.
Steve Parish, the head of the palace, said that Friedman was “a key role in everything we have done over the past eight years.”
“To leave the club with a group full of exciting talent led by an excellent manager, I really think the foundations are on construction.”
