Grant Gilkrist Gregor Townsand supported staying as a main coach in Scotland, despite the national team's failure again to challenge the title of six.
France's defeat in Paris Scottish was confined to fourth place, which is the sixth time in the eight years talisman talisman, in which they ended in the lower half of the table.
It is an interesting return to a group of players who are considered by some the strongest in the history of Scotland, but Gilchrist is steadfast in his belief that Townsund will achieve success.
“After eight years, you can take the changes that occurred during that time,” said Edinburgh Lock.
“I think you have become a little victim of your success because we have really put the tape.
“We played some of the knees who have not seen in the Scotland shirt for a long time and when we do not lead, it stands out like a painful thumb now in this team.
“Gregor and the training team, they got answers. This stability and the ability to build and improve on an annual basis, for me, should be the answer.
