BBC Antiques Roadshow and McConnell called the Glass Rescent “Junk” and note that the owner of the element does not seem to “give him rocks on this topic” while handing over a low return
Andy McConnell, a glass expert in road fish, explained that he was not dealing with a masterpiece at the exhibition today. The BBC star spoke to the mother duo and his daughter, and said that “the best thing” is to restore the element to the house rather than back away from it.
In the show filmed in the Ebrington Square in Derry, Northern Ireland, Andy met with a pair that brought a scent bottle they kept with the beautiful China at home.
“This is a truly beautiful female object … an object of a woman's dressing table per day,” he described as he examined the green bottle with the highest silver.
It was revealed that my mother had the bottle, and she was given by her mother, who was talented by an older friend. My mother revealed that she even “could not do it half enough.”
Her daughter, Paulin, was sharing her: “When I was a child, I always noticed it in my mother's wardrobe in China, and I admired her, because she is really beautiful. I asked whether I could get it one day, so we hope to give it to me.”
“Oh, I will give her to her. I will give her now,” her mother said, as Andy shouted: “Great! So he came with you, and he will leave with Pauline?
He said: “Of course there are two makers here. There is a silver maker and the glass maker, and they were completely different,” explaining that the glass bottom would have been sent to silver makers to end the element.
Andy then added: “It is very easy so far that there is a distinctive feature, which tells us that it was made by Mapin and Co. in 1898.”
After describing more about how the perfume holder was made, the historian Andy soon explained that despite her age, the glass bottle was not too much, and that my mother may have the right not to provide it.
In addressing Paulin, the antiques expert said, “So you are keen on that, my mother does not give a shout. So the best thing is to return to the house and save my mother from having to deal with this garbage that she deserves – I don't know – 100 to 150 Quid. So, we go, something nice, welcome, hey?”
The low evaluation came as a complete contrast with the evaluation made by Andy this time last year, when he participated that the glass that was purchased for only 50 pixels was worth thousands.
Andy's guest explained that her father picked up the glass in the BRIC-ARAC market booth. The little cup was ready to seize only 10p, but as I like it, 50p width instead.
The additional Pens 40 pushed it, and Andy also participated: “George Rafenskroft presented the church's lead in 1676, after 30 years. It is about 1705-1710, which dates back to more than 300 years. It is rare!”
Then he estimates the values of the glass of about 2000 pounds, screaming. “Drink a drink tonight for my father!” His guest also admitted that she was “shaking.”
