The 15th World Kasatkina has no longer returned to Russia for more than two and a half years and was living in Dubai when its nationality changed.

“With everything that happened in my previous country, I didn't have much options [to switch allegiance]The 28 -year -old told the reporters last month.

“For me, being gay publicly, if I want to be myself, I must take this step, and do that.”

Costyuk, 22, was formulated from the court in the French 2023 open championship to not shake hands with Arena Sabalinka from Belarus, and then said that people “embarrassed” their reaction.

“Some say that sport should remain outside politics, but this is not a policy – it relates to humanity,” Kostiok wrote on Friday.

“When your country is attacked by the aggressor, silence feels collusion.

“As a sporting, I believe in clean play and respect – but these principles mean little if they do not extend beyond the court.”

Earlier in 2023, Kostyuk also refused to shake the hand of its Russian opponent, Vavara Gracheva, after winning the title of the Possible Tennis Federation in Texas.

Grachiva has become a French citizen since then.
