Steiner will formally take his position in July as long as he is going through the necessary background and ethics.

The current post office manager will be replaced by Doug Toulino, who took over this role after the resignation of the former post office manager Louis Digoy in March.

He said he is firm in “preserving his role as an independent institution for the executive authority.”
