Three major healthcare providers closed or submitted bankruptcy in 2025, disrupting the care of millions of Americans.
Ads have made waves throughout societies that have already been affected by increased medical costs and limited access to care.

Rite Aid, one of the largest pharmacy chains in the United States, was submitted to bankruptcy of Chapter 11 in May.
The company had previously applied for bankruptcy in October 2023.
The company cited huge debts and thousands of cases related to its role in the opiate epidemic.
Since then, it has closed hundreds of stores and plans to close hundreds in the coming months.

According to CNN, Rite Aid is trying to restructure and sell the remaining stores for competing chains to survive.
But in many societies – especially rural or deprived areas of services – this promise is already in short.
Pharmacy problems
Local pharmacies disappear, and it is difficult to fill medical prescriptions, and customers have reported the problems of transferring their medical records.
During, Walgrens He also expanded the scope of the physical fingerprint, closing dozens of stores in early 2025.
In January, the company said it is reviewing its wallet and closing weak sites to focus on more profitable sites.

Meanwhile, Prospect Medical Holdings, a major hospital network operating in several states, has provided bankruptcy.
Multiple hospitals were closed under their umbrella or dramatically, especially in areas that are already struggling with access to care.
In Pennsylvania, more than six hospitals owned by possibilities either reduced operations or emerged emergency services completely.
This led to overcrowding in neighboring hospitals and longer enemy care.
The collapse of three main players in the field of health care – one in the retail pharmacy, the other in the National Pharmacy, and the third in the hospital's care – patients and service providers in a state of uncertainty.
“It is a devastating and exciting blow to our societies, health care workers, and every patient has relied on our local hospital system,” Senator Pennsylvania Tim Kerani said in a statement.

Healthcare is in danger
Workers unions have caused warnings about workers on a large scale and lost salary.
Rite aid workers were laid off with little notice, and it is reported that potential employees in some areas have gone for months without pay, according to Connecticut General.
As health care costs continue to increase, some legislators pressure investigations into the financial mismanagement that contributed to these collapses – and to what protection can be placed to prevent occurrence again.
