The hall also features a screen known as “Le Grand Large” (“The Great Barge”), which increases its width at an altitude of 81 feet and 37 feet – which makes it more than 3000 square feet.
Another of the stage screens in the hall, used in live shows and concerts, extends approximately 55 feet and 23 feet.
The screens are operated with three display devices.
The building complex contains seven exhibition halls, one music party, a place of display, a club and a museum.
The giant cinema was imagined in the early 1930s by the wealthy French film producer Jacques Hike.
His goal was to build a cinema with a capacity of more than 5,000 spectators, which spanned more than 21,500 square feet.
Although he may not have reached this seat capacity, the Grand Rex's hall is definitely identical to the imagined size.
The Tunisian Haïk roots are said to have inspired the atmosphere of the Mediterranean cinema and the Baroque style.
The architects in the building were significantly experts in the “atmosphere halls”, after they created more than 400 decorations of fake American cities under a cloudy sky or stars.
Grand Rex has won the title of the most beautiful cinema in the world by the time of exit in February.

Grand Rex opened for the first time in December 1932.
Louis Lumiere, the French engineer who played a major role in developing cinema, was among the first guests to occupy a seat in the hall.
During the German occupation of France, Grand Rex was requested by the German army and turned into Soldatenkino – a cinema for soldiers on vacation.
In September 1942, even the goal of bombing by Détachement Valmy became.
The cinema was reopened in October 1944 after the liberation of Paris.
It has now been visited by more than a million people every year.
Meanwhile, Madrid is proud of a huge cinema complex that can put nearly 1,000 viewers and have 25 screens.
Spanish The complex is called Kinepolis Madrid Ciudad de la imagen, meaning the city of cinema.
This multiple transmission, which includes up to 25 examination rooms, bears the title of the largest cinema in the world through the total capacity.
CIUDAD De La Imagen belongs to the Kinepolis collection, a Belgian cinema series formed in 1997.
The cinema was first opened in 1998.
