Chelsea chose not to sign Jadon Sancho on a permanent basis and will pay a 5 million pounds penalty to send the player to Manchester United.

The England striker moved to Stamford Bridge on loan last summer after his relationship with former coach Erik Ten Hag was disrupted.

United, who signed Sancho for 73 million pounds from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, we are pleased to leave the 25 -year -old.

Chelsea did not pay a loan fee for the player and covered half of his wages, which were reported at a value of 300,000 pounds per week.

The Blues agreed to a commitment to buy Sancho for a fee of about 25 million if it finishes 14th in the English Premier League, which they did – or pay to get out of the deal.
