Washington-Best Assistant Biden Anthony Bernal refuses to appear in front of a committee led by Republicans in the House of Representatives on Thursday to answer questions about the alleged cover-up of the president's cognitive decline while he was in office.
Bernal, known as the “husband of the work” of the first lady, Jill Biden, and loyal members in the family’s internal circle, invited to sit for a written interview with the House of Representatives Control Committee after the White House waived the executive concession of the certificate.
“With the lack of a concession to hide behind him, Mr. Bernal is now afraid, desperate to bury the truth,” said James Kumer, the head of supervision (R-Ky).
“The American people deserve the answers and accountability, and the Supervision Committee will not tolerate this obstacle. I will immediately issue a summons to compel Anthony Bernal's testimony in front of the committee.”
Bernal's move comes after Nir Tanden, the former director of the Local Policy Council at the Supervision Council, witnessed the supervision committee on Tuesday, without the concession shield covering her statements.
