Cokanasiga will start in the wing against the Lyon Top 14 French team on Friday night (20:00 GMT), where the Premier League leaders are looking to get their second cup for the season in the European Challenge Cup final, as it was also part of the team that won the Premier League Cup in February.

He scored a sparkling attempt at the end of last week, crushing Leicester 43-15 in the league, extending from its depths in its half after Max Oujohoa's interception.

Johann Gran Pigeon President Johann Gran said that Kokanasiga has become a “almost more player” during his term at the club.

“It is largely the biggest wing I trained, but Joe has this amazing ability to end attempts. He has got this hunger to improve,” he said.

“We got to know some parts of his game, need to improve and become a more round player.”

Cokanasiga agreed that its consistency on the field came with the most experienced.

“As old, my priorities have changed on how I needed to perform in the game,” he said.

“Then we have people who love [Bath attack coach] Lee Blackett who has a different view of the game, which helped me to improve significantly.

“Johann is a person I can go and talk to him about anything and allow everything, he can be honest with me, and I can be honest with him, with Lee and JP [Ferreira, defence coach].

“They give you a lot of confidence and this is enormous in the players.”
