The new controversial garbage fees are about to calm down the homeowners in the same family for the first time in more than a century.
The $ 523 fees are scheduled to hit the population from July 1, but the lawsuit is now racing to prevent it.

The fees are linked to a new decree approved by the city of San Diego, California.
Lawyer Michael Agiri made a legal challenge in June 2025, describing the new garbage collection as a violation of the state law.
“This garbage tax violates the suggestion 218,” Agiri said.
The pillar requires 218 voter approval before governments can raise certain fees, taxes or assessments.
The lawsuit argued that the city earns clients more than the actual cost of the service, and violated the rules under the proposal 218.
“The only thing we made today is to give them hope,” said Agiri about the city's residents after filing the lawsuit.
Earlier in June, the San Diego City Council voted 6-3 to adopt the new solid waste fee schedule.
Under the new regulations, the population will be imposed on the population of $ 43.60 a month, with a total of $ 523.20 annually for 95 gallons.
The sharp change follows voters who agree to the procedure B in 2022.
This scale has canceled the decree of long -term people, which has banned garbage fees for one family homes since 1919.
For more than 100 years, the residents enjoyed free garbage.

The city says that the new fees are the result of a year's cost analysis and communication with society.
It claims that the fees are designed only to recover the cost of garbage and recycling services, which were paid through the city's general fund, according to San Diego.

Officials argue that the new structure will lead to the liberalization of public funds for other critical services such as police, libraries, gardens and road repair.
Currently, San Diego is one of the few cities in California that is not directly paid to the population to pick up garbage.
More than 200,000 family homes receive a service provided by the city, while others, including apartments, are already paying private transportation operations.
Other options will be available: 35 gallons box for $ 36.72, 65 gallons for $ 42.88, and 95 gallons for $ 47.59.
Each home will also get a blue recycling basket and where green organic waste without any additional fees.
Replacement boxes will be free, and the reliability of the service is expected to improve.
Additional upgrades were planned, including spacious recycling and huge elements capturing, for the year 2027, with potential future fees increased with these improvements.
The fees will be added to the property tax bills for residents under the new system.
Environmental services will implement the new tracking technology and survey of group management and improve customer service.
The age of the boxes used today is about 20 years, and the city plans to upgrade it all.
City officials said that San Diego fees are still among the lowest rates in the state.
Sacramento currently receives $ 57.79 per month, Long Beach 67.63 dollars, and Auckland and San Jose more than $ 160.
Maggie Vinson, a resident of Chola Vista, was two hours from Los Angeles ready to make her vote.
“I want to make sure that the Chula Vistans residents have all the rights to obtain gas stoves and get a person in his position with a healthy sense,” Vinson told ABC News Affiliate Kgtv.
David Will, the owner of a house in the Tirrasanta neighborhood, joined others to learn more about the lawsuit.
“We have opposed garbage drawings from the beginning,” he said.
“We believe that we are already paying the price of garbage service through our collected taxes, so we should not pay more, so we did not oppose it.
“Nevertheless, we understand that of course the decree is passed, so we cannot go back,” said Will.
Airi said that the case required three things.
The first thing he asks is not to exceed the assembly fees as the cost of the service.
The second is that the money collected is used only for that service.
The third demand is that the rates are fair.
The Sinatia Bays voter registrar said that the private elementary elections are the first supervision of Iqbal by 18 %.
Paes said they sent more than 37,000 voting cards to the voters registered in the first area.
To date, only 44,000 have returned.
The city did not publicly respond to the lawsuit.
But unless the legal challenge succeeds, the charge will be in effect next week.
