Oscar Pacri is leading the F1 championship, but Lando Norris has narrowed the gap in recent week
Lando Norris insists that it will be “ridiculous” to assume that McLaren has won both the Formula 1 Championship. Only the amazing collapse that will fail them to keep their team title, as McLaren has already has a feature of 172 points on the closest Mercedes competitors heading to the Spanish Grand Prix.
But things are more strict in searching for individual honors with Max Verstapen to apply pressure. Oscar Piasstri is still at the forefront, but Norris is only three points after his victory in Monaco, while Verstapen has won twice this year and only 22 points.

Norris came in the season as the preferred drivers title. This was based on McLaren on a large scale that the team dominated the early rounds of the campaign, and the fact that the British was the closest Verstaben rival in the driver's race last year.

Everything began smoothly by winning the pole in Melbourne, but then the victory dried up. His success in Monaco at the end of last week was the victory of Norris the Great in 2025 only, as some forms of the bad qualifiers that opened the door to his teammate to take over the tournament.
