Corruption alert: This interview contains details From Disney 2025 Lilo and GMT
Although two decades have passed since the release of the original animation movie Lilo and GMTThe topic of OHana is nothing but leaving behind or forgotten. In a new new edition of direct work directed by Dean Fleisher, who participated in his writing and directed by the Academy Award candidate Marcel crust with shoesThe meaning of brotherhood, family, and lack of sacrifice your dreams in the face of difficulties in the foreground.
Mostly, similar to the animated movie, the story follows a twisted little girl named Lilo (played here by the new expatriate Mia kilo) who unintentionally befriends a foreigner Harek called Garzat (a role that has been reformulated by Chris Sanders, who held the position of co -manager and participated in the movie “The Storm”. Lilo and Nani's expansion to her ingenious neighbor and wisdom Tate (Emmy Hill), an original figure, and Kaipo Dudoit, who was reformulated here as Tūtū.
During one of the press stages, the pluscinemaz.comspoke to a camp, producer Jonathan Erch, Killauha and Agoudouj on new additions, pouring and joys to continue a legacy Lilo and GMT.
The deadline: Talk about your relationship with Lilo & Stitch and your primary feelings when you are able to direct the new version.
Brigadier Fleisher camp: Disney's favorite film was always the animation, and it was always the movie that I felt I could do a live adaptation because when I saw the origin of the theaters, I was in high school, and it didn't seem to be the animated Disney movie that I saw at all. The characters felt very originally and a little rough around the edges in a way that I know now is the effect of the original artistic style of Christian Sanders. But at that time, I thought, Wow, this is a different appearance from Disney. It is also the thing that made it look like a great opportunity here to clarify a live version of these characters because, unlike most Disney animated movies, they happen in contemporary society. They are real stars, most of whom are humans experience some of the real things that many other people are going through daily. Therefore, it seemed to be a great opportunity. I jumped at this opportunity.

The deadline: When did you discover that it will turn from being a Disney+version only to a wide play?
Jonathan Irich: It was a continuous and practical conversation. It was not official even before D23 directly, so when we descended somewhat on the date of release and revealed a stitch to the world. But it has always been discussed, and I think there is always a conversation about the way it would go. Fortunately, we are very excited about this movie to be in theaters, so I think the fans will get what they hope for.
camp: I was very happy when I found it because, for sure, it will reach a different type of audience [on streaming] Or whatever it is, but I think we are always trying to produce a movie you want to see with a large group in a big theater and feel all the feelings together. The film revolves around OHana and all these things, so it really enhances the experience.
The deadline: There is this honest topic about the incomplete family. In addition to the changes in the story about Nani, the presence of these functional aspirations as a marine biologist. Why were these topics important to your copy of the movie?
camp: I am very happy because you noticed it. I think this was one of the things we talked about, as updating and updating this living version was to expand the idea of OHana and its complexity with more nuances. I felt the right thing to do. Given that Nani, whom she always felt was very pink glasses for someone in her position, was very smart and had to give up or postpone many of these dreams because she had to take care of her little sister and inherited all this responsibility in such an era. I felt that she might not have such an easy time to buy, “nobody leaves behind” because she will definitely feel, well, I suffer here. Therefore, he informed this approach that we followed with the story and with the bow between the two sisters and what the decision ended.

The deadline: How did you find Mia? Why was it perfect for peo?
camp: I ignited the room when I entered. I think we were all felt that we were not true here. We have thrown a wide network and we tried to see the largest possible number of children because it is really unusual to find someone who checks all of these boxes and has enthusiasm, maturity and imagination. It is a needle in a straw pile and we are so happy that we found it. I can remember thinking when I entered, it was very clear, and this should be important for any estuaric manager. It was very clear when Mia walked to the point that she was dragging her parents to these tests, not the opposite at all.
Iric: The only added element is that we were also throwing Sydney Kniani at that point as well. So, when there was this frightening moment we love, well, we must now read a chemistry, how do they feel together? Because it looks like the front filter. When they met, it was as if they were sisters for 20 years. They have been this way since. It is a beautiful relationship they have.
The deadline: What are some negotiating? The things you had to do at all in this movie.
camp: I think we are all coming from a real love place for the original. It was always my favorite Disney. Thus, I think there were many of these, and sometimes you should leave and kill your pride and do not work for one reason or another. But I believe that the main things we really focused on, we got it, and I am proud that we have bombed them. I think the design of Stitch and his personality that he truly passes were one. I think that a lot of original OHANA made that made the first special one like Chris Sanders and Tia Carrre [who voiced Nani in the 2002 film] Consultations with a lot of the original animation team were so important to us so fortunate that they worked.
The deadline: Talk a little more about making Chris Sanders come back, because it is in the middle of a creative storm now, between Wild robot And live action How to train your drag. Was there a world in which Chris did not use at all?
camp: There is no world like this. It is Chris Sanders now. His return was one of the first talks we had. Fortunately, he is the man he is, and he was very supportive, excited and happy to make the sound and a little direction here and there. It was one of the first people, as soon as we got to the concept of art of living work, which was proud of how it appeared.

The deadline: What are the ways that you relate to your characters?
Miahkha: I am linked to it because we are from Hawaii and we are somewhat rude. We also love fun clothes, and we love surfing. I go to browse in my free time. We also love dancing on Hola because Hola tells a story just as you can tell a story about any different kind of films.
Sydney Elizebeth AgudongI am a fans of the absolute OG of the film. I was looking at this new one like a clean menu. Therefore, she really took a lot of her identity as a larger mute. It was something that she grabbed all the time. The idea of self -sacrifice is so much that you almost forget your own needs and want you because you want to make sure that you can make your sister happy or that your family was very happy for me.
The deadline: Nani gets a lot of agencies in this movie. How did you see the modern adaptation of this story?
Agudong: I felt annoyed. Again, I am a great admirer and we really wanted to make sure that we are commending that. I think we did it well. But here we balanced it with a lot of the original aspects of the film that everyone loves and carries. We were able to delve deeper, and that was great to focus not only on the side of Lilo and stitches for things alongside chaos, but also family architecture in circumstances due to the difficult Nani circumstances and the realistic extent of its placement. Not all sunlight and rainbows are not. That was really great to explore.
The deadline: How did you get the first cinematic role?
Kealoha: I had tried to go out to the coffee of Miss Kona Miss [pageant] I won. They asked me about what I wanted to be when I grew up, and I said that I wanted to be a star because Duji Camello, a doctorate in medicine [a show on Disney+] He made me acting because I thought this was real. So, then later, there was a file [notice] About live work Lilo and GMT On the news. So, then I was like, Wow, I can be the youngest actor in the world, and I can always be in a movie I loved.
The deadline: What do you want people to take from this version from this version Lilo and GMT?
AgudongIt is a family movie. That is why there is longevity and eternity because its subjects are immortal. The way in which the film is located in Hawaii is perfect because I feel that there is no better place to represent the family in the way I think it does not matter if you are associated with blood or if you come from a different country or what it looks like. You will always find a place you belong to. Through this compensation, this is a huge thing I want the world to be able to think about and be able to enjoy and remember. Everyone has a place to belong. The family means what you want.
