While the plan aims to focus on updating the brand and moving towards the smaller coordination sites over the next three years, this also means getting rid of the weight of the largest sites with weak performance.

By the end of 2026, the bold new chapter will witness the removal of 150 MACY stores from its mark in the country.

At least 66 has already been closed this year to achieve this goal.

January saw a widespread closure, with sites in Minnesota, Oregon, and several other states that do not work as of March.

Spring confirmed during the May's profit call that with the continued closure in the second year of the three -year separation plan, there will be “simple depression in sales.”

The CEO emphasized that the word tends to circumvent consumers when the closure begins, causing inevitable uncertainty that affects sales performance.

“I would just say in terms of sales of the closure of stores, you have the interesting effect, just to frame it to people, that when you close the stores, you have slight depression in sales in the current stores because of the exit from commercial communication in that environment,” he explained.

“Then, you start seeing a recovery and the opportunity to restore.”

Spring added that Messi was “slightly advanced” about expectations about the restoration of sales amid continuous closure.

He also indicated, similar to the invitation of another profit earlier in the year, that all 150 closures will bring an estimated $ 700 million to Messi.

MAKY's 51-year-old closing-shoppers remain days to record filter sales of up to 60 %

Reshaving a reshaping bonus

At least 350 administrative stores that will continue to work in the bold new chapter are also reshape.

The CEO indicated that 125 has already been completed and “outperformed the rest of the Messi fleet.”

Apply is also made on the opening of 30 micro -micro stores, along with 15 Bloomingdales stores and 30 Bluemercury stores.

Spring also noticed while talking about the big presentation of the National Union this year that the Macey shopping experience “should be better.”

According to Spring's comments from this month's profit call, the company already sees a positive response from customers as these improvements have been made.

He said: “Customers appreciate our renewed focus on the experience of shopping and commitment to providing fashion and relevant modernity with a convincing value through a good spectrum, the best and best price.”

Increased product assortment was a special concentration.

“The brands of contemporary clothes have been presented recently, and I received Good American, Firi, Nick and Zoe well, and the coach and Dona Karan continued to resonate.”

Palm pricing

There was also a big change that might mean that shoppers may not be able to buy their favorites.

Spring said Messi decided to cancel or delay her orders from China as a result of President Donald Trump's mutual definitions.

About 20 % of the company's merchandise came from China in 2024, with 27 % of private brands inside MACY stores that determine its goods from the country.

He also emphasized that the high prices were imminent in some goods to help reduce the effect of definitions.

The CEO said that the response was cautious and “surgical”, and that the company has been determined to provide fair prices.

“It is not a kind of approach that suits everyone,” he pointed out.

“There will be elements at the same price as they were a year ago. There will be, selectively, elements that may be more expensive, and there are elements that we may not carry because pricing is not worth the quality or value permitted by the consumer.”

It is also expected that there will be at least five basic groceries this year.

The favorite breakfast is one of the most affected, according to experts.
