Malcolm Elias, the man responsible for the development of Gareth Bell and Trint Alexander-Arnold, died after a short illness.
Elias, the Oscar president of Fulham, joined the Premier League from Liverpool in 2009, where he previously worked in Southampton.
In a statement, Fulham said: “It is deep sadness to announce the death of our colleague and our dear friend, Malcolm Elias, after a short illness.
“Malcolm, the club's Oscar president, was a great reputation in football to discover and care for young talents.
“Malcolm's influence on the modern game cannot be reduced, after he worked with the likes of Theo Walcott, Gareth Bale, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Harvey Elliot, Luke Harris and Jay Stanfield, for example, but not limited to.”
Wilcheman Elias was born in 1953 and was a key to developing his compatriot Bell at the Southampton Academy.
Bell continued to win 111 Wales Caps and enjoy a successful profession with saints, Tottenham and Real Madrid, where he won five titles in the Champions League.
Meanwhile, Alexander-Arnold of England won eight major homes with Al Saba Club in Liverpool before joining Real Madrid earlier this month.
Southampton said: “We are incredibly saddened to know the death of Malcolm Elias, one of the influential figures in the history of youth development in the club,” said Southampton.
