Melissa Hortmann, the head of the Minnesota home in Minnesota, and her husband, Mark, was placed on Saturday – weeks after they were killed, while the authorities claimed that it was a political shooting skirt.
The special ceremony was held in Basilica St. Mary in Minneapolis and directed hundreds of mourners, including former President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, governor of the state, Tim Walz, and dozens of legislators in the state. More than 1900 people were seized in the live broadcast.
“Melissa Hortmann will be remembered as the most dependent spokesman in the history of Minnesota,” Walz said during his memorial. “Millions of Minnesotan state can live their lives better because they and Mark have chosen public service and politics.”
Prosecutors said that Hortmann, 54, and her husband, shot June 10 inside their house in Brooklyn Park by Vans Potter, who was appointed politically in Walz, and claims that he targeted Hortman as part of a planned series of attacks on Democratic officials. The golden recovery of the couple was shot, and they were shot later.
The closed boxes of the couple sat alongside the front part of the church, filled with blankets. Each bio has been filled. Soft music has been played as friends, friends and colleagues, and they wiped tears.
The service began at approximately 11:30 am, and the readings of the Bible and prayers and the emotional provision of the general service of the couple and their dedication to their families.
During the blessing, the priest Minnesota described as a “zero place for political violence and extremism”, indicating both George Floyd's death and recent attacks on state officials.
He said: “This can be zero for restoration, justice and healing, but we must work together.”
About 90 minutes before the double killing, it was claimed that Potler had opened fire on Senator John Hoffman and his wife Evit at their home. They both survived despite maintaining multiple wounds.
Boelter, 57, was arrested, after a 36-hour hunt in the history of the state-and was installed in the Federal Court on Friday on two charges of murder, two accusations of chasing and arms charge. Prosecutors say he can face the death penalty. A separate government trial can lead to life without conditional release.
It is still in federal reservation.
His wife, Jenny, issued a statement on Thursday offered condolences to the families of the victims and described the killings as “a betrayal of everything we carry.”
Hortmann was first elected at Minnesota's home in 2004 and worked as a speaker for three periods. Its area included Brooklyn Park, Kon Rapids and Champlin.
It is among the highest elected officials who are killed in recent years-which is part of the disturbing rise in political violence at the country level. The couple survived by two adult children, Sophie, 28 years old and colin, 30.
