A fire broke out in a luxurious, tall hotel on Tuesday-I sent huge pillars of escalating brown smoke across the heart of the city center.
FDNY officials said the fire arose at the Hilton Hotel along Sixth Street and 53 Street at 4:51 pm.
The fire administration sets were still working on the fire after about an hour.
Online videos showed crowds of people wandering in the smoke emanating from the building.
No injuries were reported, but New York Police officials noticed that the situation was still sophisticated.
